Couse Description
To meet the increased demand for aesthetic procedures, professionals have been expanding their scope of practice by obtaining certifications in aesthetic procedures. This two part course gives an in-depth look into the most sought after aesthetic procedures available today. You will learn the theory behind microdermabrasion and chemical peels, microneedling, types of equipment, treatment protocols, contraindications, and pre/post treatment procedures. This course also includes a more in depth look at skin analysis and the Fitzpatrick Scale.
The clinical portion of this training course is designed as a one-day course for aestheticians and medical professionals to obtain necessary hands on practice to support the theory learned. You will gain hands-on experience by analyzing the condition of skin and determining the best treatment options. Models and products are provided by Prima Advanced Aesthetics Academy and Skin Care during the hands-on training session.

Each course has a maximum of 5 attendees. With this intimate course setting the instructor is able to spend the necessary time with each attendee to answer questions with performing microdermabrasion and chemical peels, and microneedling.

Upon completion of both didactic and procedural requirements, a certificate of completion will be issued.
Program Objectives
Explain basic skin structure and physiology​
Identify different methods of skin classification and how these classifications are used to evaluate appropriate treatment protocols
Demonstrate appropriate technique in performing Microdermabrasion
Discuss various types of chemical peels and appropriate candidates for each
Demonstrate appropriate technique in performing Microneedling
Describe how these procedures can be combined with other services to enhance client results as well as participant’s earning potential
Explain how to appropriately price and market these procedures
